India's Tata Newsletter 09 Q4 Net profit of 60.84 million USD 3 times times increase

Tata Telecom's wholesale voice revenue for the quarter was 2.96 billion yuan, down 36.6% per cent year-on-year.　　Enterprise and operator-level data business revenue of 3.26 billion rupees, down 18% year-on-year. Tata Communications, the telecoms operator of Tata Teleservices Tata Group, which specializes in broadband, is the first operator in India to launch a 802.16d fixed WiMAX service, according to C114. The first network was deployed in Bangalore (Bangalore) in 2007 and 1800 WiMAX base stations have been deployed in 144 cities as of October 2009.
