Install Hadoop under AIX

Today, after testing a remote AIX host in Java, it suddenly occurred to me that I had installed Hadoop on Linux, but did not try it on AIX, and wondered if the installation of Hadoop under Aix would be different, so the process was recorded as follows:

1. Install the decompression software on AIX, install Java and so on, here do not say.

2. Download the Hadoop0.21.0 version, and extract to a specific directory, where the decompression to/home/cqq/hadoop-0.21.0

3. Setting the environment variable for Hadoop

Export hadoop_home=/home/cqq/hadoop-0.21.0

Export hadoop_conf_dir=/home/cqq/hadoop-0.21.0/conf

Export path= $PATH: $HADOOP _home/bin;

4. After setting up the test is the Buddha installed successfully, input Hadoop, give the following tips:

This is because AIX defaults to Ksh, and some of the actions of Bash are not supported in this shell, so first download the package to install bash.

Download Address: http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/power/software/aix/linux/toolbox/alpha.html, please download and the AIX version of the corresponding RPM version, I download here is bash-4.2-1.aix6.1.ppc.rpm.

Upload the RPM package to the AIX server and install: RPM-IVH bash-4.2-1.aix6.1.ppc.rpm, and then re-enter the Hadoop prompt after installation, java_home is not set. OK, set Java_home.

5. Enter Hadoop again and there is a hint like "usage:hadoop [--config Confdir] COMMAND" indicating that the installation was successful.
