Intel 1.5 billion dollar shares in Violet: 20% investment

This morning, Intel Corporation and Tsinghua Holding's Purple Violet Group Limited ("Violet Group") jointly announced the details of the cooperation. With regard to this cooperation, there is a major need for attention to this information:

1, the amount involved

Intel invests 9 billion yuan (about 1.5 billion US dollars) and gets a 20% stake.

2, the scope of cooperation:

The company involved in the cooperation of the purple light under the holding of the communications and RDA Microelectronics holding company. The exhibition and RDA are two domestic chip design companies that develop mobile chipset platforms for smartphones, feature handsets and other consumer electronics products that support the 2G, 3G, and 4G wireless communications standards.

3. The process of cooperation

Two companies expect Intel's investment to be completed by early 2015. At this stage, the equity transaction still awaits the approval of the relevant government departments.

Under the terms of the agreement, the communication will jointly develop and sell a series of system chip (SoC) products based on Intel architecture. The first batch of Intel architecture based system chip products will be listed in the second half of next year, with two companies to jointly sell.
