The debate about wearable devices never stops, data security, pay patterns, usage scenarios ... Just one of them can write a long story. The best location for wearable equipment has always been a point of contention: the wrist, face, or other position, which is the best form of wearable equipment. Perhaps each vendor has its own understanding, and Intel answered their answer today: smart T-shirts. Re/code today interviewed Mike Bell, Intel's new equipment director, who was on the scene and announced that the product would be shipped this summer. What's the function of this t-shirt, and what's different from the Canadian OMsignal Smart T-shirt we reported earlier? In the video, we see Intel's smart T-shirts that look like regular sports Polo shirts. According to Mike Bell, the clothes were developed with partner AIQ, which included sensors in the fabric, a line buried in the garment, and a black box that was larger than a matchbox to monitor the heart rate accurately. This implementation is similar to the smart costume we saw before. Supporting the small black box is Intel's Edison Development Board, and the collected heart rate information will be transmitted via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to the tablet and mobile phone, Mike Bell said that later they will also increase the 3G connection, can let the human side movement data synchronous transmission. In the course of the T-shirt demo, Mike Bell demonstrated the use of a mobile phone to view the heart rate directly in real time, and we can see that the rhythm of the heart rate is constantly changing, something that has never been seen in the application of other wearable devices. In addition to the heart rate function, we did not see in the video introduction that the smart T-shirt has other special features. and the specific price, the delivery date has not yet been determined, and the usefulness of the function remains to be confirmed. In contrast to the omsignal monitoring of respiration, pressure levels, training intensity guidelines and other functions, we have not yet seen on Intel's smart T-shirt. Mike Bell also thinks that just a heart rate monitor T-shirt is not enough. They will open up this collection of collaborative approaches, allowing developers to develop more diverse and interesting clothes, such as physical surveillance for children or the elderly.
