NEC's accumulated expertise in the field of High-performance computing with the excellent performance of the intel® xeon® processor and the future vector computing acceleration that the processor will use, such as the AVX instruction set, will help develop high-performance computing systems with higher performance to meet customer performance requirements for High-performance computing products for the intel® architecture.

While working with Intel, NEC will continue to sell its existing high-performance computing products with SX vector, whose vector can perform mathematical operations on multiple data at the same time.

At the beginning of the Intel and NEC collaboration, the two sides will focus on the development of hardware and software solutions to maximize memory bandwidth and scalability for the intel® xeon® processor platform. Both sides hope that this will not only improve high-performance computing systems for high-end scientific computing markets, but also benefit smaller, high-performance computing systems.

High performance computing systems the current stage of users, mainly scientists, doctors, non-profit organizations and a variety of commercial customers (such as oil and gas exploration companies), its main purpose is to speed up the research and testing of these users.
