December 23 News According to foreign http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/31646.html "> media reports, the market research agency IHS today released a report on the global Microprocessor market allocation survey. Intel has again increased its microprocessor revenue share in the global market in the third quarter of this year, and continues to expand its leading edge on rival AMD, the report said.

Although Intel has announced that its fourth-quarter revenue will be lower than previously expected, it does not affect the company's microprocessor products ' share growth in the global semiconductor market in the 2011-year period, IHS said.

Intel's microprocessor revenue accounted for 83.7% of the global market in the third quarter of this year, according to data from the report, compared with 80.9% in the same period last year and 82.5% in the previous quarter. Rival AMD only gained 10.2% of global microprocessor sales in the third quarter, down from 11.45% in the same period last year and 10.53% in the previous quarter.

"The rapid development of the global tablet has a double-sided impact on Intel." On the one hand, tablets have severely restricted the sale of netbooks (Netbook), but on the other hand, the popularity of tablet computers has created a large number of processors needed to buy cloud servers to help intel generate revenue at the high-end. "says Matthew Wilkins, chief analyst at IHS Matthew Wilkins.

Intel's performance in the third quarter was superior to the market, thanks to its extensive product choices for both consumer and corporate users in the microprocessor market, IHS said. In its third-quarter earnings, Intel said the company's atom product had been hit by a popular tablet computer in 2011 years, with sales falling nearly 32% per cent in the three quarter.

However, Intel is of the view that with the growth of mobile device sales and the rapid development of the cloud market, enterprises show strong demand for microprocessors that apply to data centers. IHS, a market-research agency, has emphasised that spending on cloud computing in consumer and corporate markets will "soar" over the next few years, from the size of $23 billion trillion in 2010 to the size of $110 billion trillion in 2015.

Earlier this month, Intel issued a warning to investors that the company's total revenue in the quarter would be nearly 1 billion dollars lower than previously expected. The expected fall in revenue was due to the impact of Thailand's floods on PC sales, with some of the core components unable to meet market demand for a short time.

For the sixth time in a row this October, Intel reported record quarterly earnings. While the market has long feared that a weak PC sales market could affect Intel's revenue, it has achieved a revenue breakthrough as a result of growth in the notebook, emerging markets and corporate markets.
