International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination held in Canada with more than 100 people

Vancouver, March 20 (Xinhua) More than 100 Canadian people of different ethnic groups gathered at the Vancouver centre in Huang to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (Madan) 20th.

Canada is a country renowned for its multicultural culture, and Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms expressly prohibits any form of racial discrimination.

"No one is illegal" is one of the organizations participating in the March, which is a civil society for the rights of immigrants and refugees. Alex Mahe, a member of the group, told Xinhua that racial inequality continued, both at the government level and at the individual level, to be opposed loudly.

Spencer Chandra Herbert is British Columbia, Prov. of Canada. The province is one of the most culturally diverse areas in Canada. In an interview with the Xinhua news agency, Herbert said that if Canadians want to develop a healthy multicultural society, they must remember that they have the right and responsibility to resist the discrimination they see.

Vancouver Zheng Wenyu is the third generation of Chinese immigrants. In an interview with reporters, he said that Vancouver was a culturally diverse city with a 0 tolerance policy on any form of discrimination, and children were taught at school about the dangers of racism. People of different cultural backgrounds are encouraged to interact with each other to enhance understanding.

March 21 is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which was established by the United Nations in 1966.
