In India, where technology is the most talented, mobile internet traffic has reached 60% and desktop Internet traffic has slipped to 40%.
Mobile revenue is also growing rapidly, with an annual compound growth rate of 129% per cent over the past four years. The mobile sector is expected to have a revenue of 19 billion US dollars this year, with mobile applications accounting for 67% and advertising accounting for 33%.
Other key highlights in the report:
• Mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets will increase over the next three years, more than 1.7 billion in 2015 years, and desktop and notebook sales are still relatively sluggish and less than 400 million.
· Since its inception, Android handsets have surpassed the iphone in the first 16 quarters, selling more than 600 million of Android sales compared to Apple's 100 million iphone sales.
