VMware Acquisition Cetas
Virtualization maker VMware recently announced the acquisition of Cetas Software company, headquartered in San Francisco's Palo Alto, mainly engaged in the development of large data analysis tools.
Cetas's instant FDI technology enables enterprise users to quickly identify patterns and anomalies in large data streams and translate them into valuable business insights. Instant FDI is based on Hadoop and currently provides only the way to deploy within the enterprise. VMware did not disclose the exact amount of the acquisition.
Fujitsu launches Large Data package
Also in April, Fujitsu announced a series of new large data management and analysis packages and plans to launch a corresponding hardware product by March next year.
The new software includes Fujitsu interstage Big Data Parallel 處理 Server, a large-scale parallel processing server for the Apache Hadoop platform, Fujitsu says it can increase the speed of the Hadoop task by 5 times times.
Another new product is the complex event processing (CEP) platform, where companies can search for large datasets and use it to identify business trends.

Pentaho company released the latest version of the software platform Pentaho Business Analytics 4.5, which integrates data integration and business analytics capabilities.
Pentaho company officials said the recently updated software has been able to provide new data visualization interactivity and extended the large data analysis capabilities, including access to Hadoop clusters and adding NoSQL database support. Users can access and compare data stored in different data sources.
Jake Cornelius, senior vice president of Pentaho, said in a press release: "Pentaho Business Analytics 4.5 provides a unified plug-in integration for interactive visualization and large data, and it can provide business insights more quickly for IT departments and business units." The Pentaho platform is built from scratch, and we think that data integration and business analytics are inseparable. ”
