The Japanese NNT Communications Company (NTT Communications) recently launched a mobile phone application that can calculate calories by taking pictures of the food they eat.

Existing applications require users to enter food types and calorie information themselves, while Nippon Nnt Communications Inc., a software that evaluates the color and shape of food, then makes a comparison with the database and calculates the heat.

It is understood that NNT company's servers store 100,000 different kinds of food information, you can use smart phones to access the server access to this information. The app can even record the amount of food and adjust the results.
