Jug is a task-based parallel framework. It can be used to write code, decompose to tasks, and run different tasks on different processors. It uses file systems to communicate correctly between processes and work through NFS, so you can coordinate processes on different machines. Jug is a pure Python implementation that applies to any platform and can run Python.
