Know your Xubuntu Desktop 8.10 (intrepid Ibex)

&http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/37954.html ">NBSP; Xubuntu uses XFCE as its desktop environment (Desktop Environnement). There are two panels (panel) up and down on the desktop. The top panel has a Xubuntu logo on the left, followed by the main menu (main menu), including two menus:

* Application (applications)-you can find and execute commonly used applications here.
* Location (16882.html ">places")-a common folder on your hard disk and on your computer.

The right side of the main menu is a small icon of two common software, respectively:

* Mozilla Firefox-Web browser
* Description (Help)-Online assistance system

The right side of the panel starts with:

* Switch icon-you can use to log out, switch users, shutdown.
* Time-Displays the current time.
* System Tray-Displays the system status, including whether the software has a new version to be updated, whether it has a new email, whether it has unfinished print work, and the battery charge.

The following panels are from left to right:

* Display Desktop (show Desktop)-instantly shrink all windows so you can see the clean desktop and the small icons above.
* Work list (taskbar)-Lists all open windows on the desktop.
* Page Switcher (Pager)-allows you to switch between different workspaces (Workspace).
* Trash cans (Trash Can)-Opens your trash cans, lets you retrieve the false discard the file or cleans up the trash cans.

There are also three small icons on the top left corner of the desktop:

* Home Directory-Open your Personal folders (family directory).
