Large Data Application survey: New technology Development trend forecast

"IT168 Investigation Report" 2012-2013 China's IT Technology trend survey activity started on October 16, 2012, after 1 months of time. During the online survey, the users from Itpub, Chinaunix (hereinafter referred to as CU) and other cooperative websites were greatly concerned and actively involved. Now that the investigation has been completed, all the data are collated and counted in the background. The questionnaire of 17,101 questionnaires, including 14,522 eligible questionnaires, was collected online. Overall, this year's survey has been more focused, both in terms of quantity and quality compared to last year.

This survey covers: Enterprise informatization, desktop virtualization, Hadoop architecture, next-generation firewall, BYOD, it transport and large data applications, such as 7 of research results, which will eventually form the "2012-2013 It technology application trend Research Report", and will be integrated into the " 2012-2013 China's IT Application Technology Blue Book, in April 2013, the fourth session of the database technology conference released.

Over the past year, big data has brought new energy to the IT industry, with new products and solutions emerging. Aiming at the new opportunities and challenges in the era of large data, IT168 recently launched a special survey of large data applications, aiming to reveal the changes in data management and analysis application in the age of large data by investigation results. The so-called data management and analysis applications, specifically, database and other data management software, data mining and data analysis products, as well as business intelligence tools.

Trend prediction of large data technology

Big data applications are just beginning, and what new technologies do companies focus on data management? In order to better understand the real needs of the respondents, in this survey to increase the application of large data analysis, mainly divided into two aspects, one is the data management of new technology forecasts, the second is the development trend of business intelligence.

As shown in the figure above, distributed storage and computing has become the most concerned data management new technology, with a ratio of 29.86%, followed by memory database technology, accounting for 23.3%, Cloud Database ranked third, the proportion of 16.29%. In addition, the column-type database technology, NoSQL also received more attention. According to the survey results, the distributed storage and computing represented by Hadoop has become the key technology of large data in people's mind. The memory database technology represented by SAP HANA and Cloud Database technology represented by SQL Azure will also become an important data management innovation platform.

For the future trend forecast of business intelligence, the survey shows that the top three are rich in mining models, real-time analysis, precise and specific purpose analysis, with a ratio of 27.22%, 19.88% and 19.11% respectively. Then came the social network analytics, cloud services and mobile BI. This shows that people expect business intelligence applications to make changes in these areas.

The trend is not hard to see, in the big data age, people focus on the disruptive technology that can quickly change the status quo, large data storage and computing, data mining and analysis, and business intelligence applications will shine in the future.
