Lenovo Australia's strategic reorganization cuts less than 10

Beijing time July 16 morning news, according to foreign media reported today, Lenovo Australia, a senior executive disclosed that this year, Lenovo in Australia cut less than 10 employees, is a global restructuring plan. Lenovo made a savings plan in January in the hope of saving 300 million of dollars. Lenovo plans to cut 2,500 employees worldwide by March 31, 2010--accounting for 11% of the total number of employees.  Lenovo did not disclose the number of layoffs in Australia. Mirco Vandur Milko Van Duijl, vice president of Lenovo's mature market, said the company had fewer layoffs in Australia than any other country, "with fewer than 10 layoffs, a small and highly efficient team in Australia." North America and Western Europe have more layoffs, Lenovo has more than 100 employees in Australia. (Zhi Xiang)
