Lenovo COO criticized Acer: Not enough internationalization will eventually go back to Taiwan(China)

October 15 News, according to Taiwan(China)'s "Heavy Heng Net" report, Lenovo Group executive vice president and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Gianfanco Lanch (Gianfrancolanci) in the media visit "choke" former club Acer not internationalized, will eventually "go back to Taiwan(China)."

Lanci, a former CEO of Acer, criticized Acer for not being an international company, saying that Acer would eventually move back to Taiwan(China)-centred companies.

For his comment, Acer founder Shih today says Acer employs a whopping 60%-70% of foreign workers, and there should be few global brands to go beyond.

Shih also said Acer would not be called Acer if it lost its soul. But he still admits that Lanci's criticism of Acer's lack of internationalization does make sense, and there is room for improvement.
