Lenovo released ThinkServer dual-server and DAS new products

Lenovo Group Launches ThinkServer RD340, 1U Dual-Rack Server, 2 ThinkServer RD440, 2U Dual-Rack Server for High-Density Storage at London's Educational Technology Show, London, January 22, ThinkServer TD340 dual tower server and ThinkServer SA120, a new modular, high-expansion rack direct attached (DAS) storage. ThinkServer RD340 / RD440: All-in-one rack server

Both are new dual-channel designs and feature two next-generation Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2400 v2 series processors up to 10 cores, with more than 25% increase in compute performance over previous generation ThinkServer servers.

The ThinkServer RD340 and RD440 feature an impressive range of standard configurations and expansion options to efficiently support the most demanding infrastructure, collaboration and line-of-business applications with lower power consumption. Both new models have up to 192GB of memory expansion, and built-in hot-swappable storage systems, integrated RAID chips, redundant power supplies and redundant fans. The ThinkServer RD440 for high-density storage applications supports up to 48TB of mass storage, up to 100% up over the previous generation. The optional ThinkServer RAID adapter not only provides additional RAID options but also delivers performance improvements. The ThinkServer RD340, RD440, and TD340 give customers the flexibility to leverage their deployed management tools or Lenovo's full lifecycle management tools at no additional cost.
