LG Display Department LG displays in Monday announced that it would produce a flexible screen for smartphones. Samsung said last month it would launch a flexible-screen smartphone in October. The flexible screen is still in the early stages of development, allowing the screen to bend or fold, which could eventually bring great changes to high-end smartphones and even wearable computing markets. LG display in Monday said it had begun to produce 6-inch flexible screens. LG will launch a smartphone with a flexible screen this November, according to people familiar with the matter. In contrast, flexible screens are already commercially available in large OLED TVs. Samsung and LG have already launched such OLED TVs, priced at about 9000 dollars.
