Recently, we have added features to our customers to manage the http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/13357.html ">azure Web site using the IIS Management console with Windows self." IIS Manager supports HTTP over SSL, provides a secure connection to your Windows Azure Web site, and your configuration is set directly in the Web.config file for your Web site. Using inetmgr, you gain the following advantages:
providing site administrators with a familiar user interface is easier to use than manual editing web.config (especially with complex options such as URL rewrite rules) that reduce the risk of syntax or formatting errors due to direct editing of web.config
Prerequisites
on the Window client operating system-IIS Manager for Remote administration on Windows Server-Ensure that the IIS management console is installed. See step 6 in Http://www.iis.net/learn/install/installing-iis-7/installing-iis-on-windows-vista-and-windows-7-"IIS Management Console is a required feature.
To connect to a Windows Azure Web site
1. Run IIS manager through remote management and select options Connect to a Site ...
2. In Server Name, type the SCM URL for your Web site. The SCM URL, also known as the Kudu Web site URL, is similar to the URL of your site, but in your site URL. The SCM needs to be placed after the site name. For example, if your site name is Contoso and your Azure Web site URL is contoso.azurewebsites.net, your SCM URL will be contoso.scm.azurewebsites.net. In addition, you must specify port 443 in the URL, as described in the following screenshot:
3. Enter your release credentials. If you have not changed the system generation password that Windows Azure created for you, you can choose to reset or download from the portal, as detailed below.
4. IIS Manager will now attempt to connect. If the connection succeeds, you will need to provide a connection name:
5. After clicking Finish, IIS Manager displays groups similar to the site-level configuration icon and options, and then you can start managing your site!
Get or reset your deployment credentials
When you create a Web site on a Windows Azure Web site, Azure automatically generates deployment credentials. The username is a Web site name, prefixed with a dollar sign (for example, $contoso), and a password is a complex string of letters and numbers. You can click Reset your deployment credentials on the Web site's control panel to set your own password, or click Download the Publish profile to download an XML file that contains the password you generated for you.
