McAfee improves cloud computing security to new heights

The global leader in cloud computing security, McAfee, today announced enhancements to its McAfee Cloud secure Platform. As the industry's only content-aware platform, McAfee Cloud security Platform protects businesses and the cloud from all major information transfer channels, such as e-mail, Web, and authentication, helping organizations secure and efficiently leverage cloud-based services and solutions. This platform can be deployed either as a client (on-premises) device, as a "software as a Service" (SaaS) solution, or as a mixture of the two.

· McAfee Cloud Identity Manager (also available by purchasing Intel's Intel®expressway Cloud Access 360) expands integration with Security Declaration Markup Language (SAML) awareness and traditional login cloud applications. And further simplifies the experience of end users using the single sign-on (SSO) portal to achieve centralized seamless access.

· McAfee Data Loss Prevention (DLP) protects information in the cloud environment. The main highlights of version 9.2 DLP include virtual machine support, which enables organizations to take full advantage of their client or cloud infrastructure and data classification capabilities to quickly inventory, categorize, and repair data in hundreds of servers and thousands of file shares.

· McAfee Email Gateway 7.0 integrates fully with the Secure Computing email Gateway (ironmail) platform and the McAfee email and WEB Security device platform to provide new advanced encryption capabilities, This includes the ability to push and pull data and to view mobile device encryption messages. McAfee SaaS Email Homeowner enhances DLP functionality by adding file fingerprints.

· McAfee Services Gateway (also available through purchase of the intel® intel®expressway Service Gateway) now supports IBM MQ and Splunk for reporting and high-security security certification. With new policy controls, McAfee services Gateway extends the security of REST WEB services and enhances support for Salesforce.com application interfaces (APIs) and Security Declaration Markup Language (SAML) for identity processing.

· The enhancements provided by the McAfee Web Gateway 7.1.6 can limit corporate responsibility and information disclosure risks and perform enterprise WEB usage policies to improve security. The McAfee Web Gateway application Control feature now leverages the McAfee APPPRISMTM database to refine control over 1000 Web applications.

The enhancements to McAfee Cloud Security Platform Further refine the integration with the McAfee Epolicy orchestrator platform. The McAfee services Gateway can now be integrated with the Epolicy orchestrator platform to enable effective monitoring of WEB services and security events. With the extended integration features of McAfee Email Gateway 7.0, the epolicy orchestrator software is fully configurable and can manage all data loss protection dictionaries.
