Meego is Nokia and Intel announces the launch of a free mobile operating system, the Chinese nickname Rice Dog, the operating system available in smartphones, http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/9600.html "> A wide range of electronic devices, such as laptops and televisions, and help with seamless integration of these devices. The Linux based platform, known as Meego, incorporates Nokia's Maemo and Intel's Moblin platform.
MeeGo means Maemo + Moblin = MeeGo, the fusion of the Nokia Maemo system and the Intel Moblin platform, supports the Linux intelligent operating platform, which is ideal for maemo system operation.
The Meego operating system is designed to allow application developers to write programs at once, and then can be used for everything from smartphones to netbooks, which is increasingly prevalent in the increasingly competitive smartphone sector. Adobe has recently adopted the same strategy, and application developers need to write a program to use flash applications for desktops and notebooks and mobile phones and many other operating systems.
Intel and Nokia have announced that applications previously used for Maemo or Moblin computing environments will also be used for the new Meego operating system. Nokia also stressed that the creation of the Meego platform is not intended to replace Nokia's own Symbian operating system. Conversely, through QT applications and the UI framework, developers can apply applications to both Meego and many other platforms including Symbian. The apps will be available at Nokia's Ovi Store for all Nokia hardware devices based on Meego and Symbian, while Intel's AppUp center will target Meego based Intel devices.
