The data can be predicted that, in the next short time, the length of the microblogging will go beyond the social network. At the same time, August compared with March, the proportion of the monthly exclusive coverage of social networks decreased by 6.2%, while the number of Weibo monthly exclusive coverage in the past six months has a small increase of 2.1%. Thus, independent users of social networks are showing a tendency to nibble on Weibo.

The trend reflects the subtle "functional substitution" relationship between social networks and Microblogs, the consultancy analysis said. Overall, Internet users of the network community to make friends activities of the total demand is more stable, the increase of attention to micro-blogging is likely to lead to the original social networks, communities, blogs and other "equivalent substitutes" demand weakened. So at this level, the decline of today's social networks seems inevitable.
