Micron Marvell has launched the next generation of solid-state hard drives (SSD) for data center servers, applications, and storage platforms dedicated to managing high-speed and massive data. The new micron p400m solid-state drive is a highly durable SATA cache and storage solution designed to handle structured and unstructured digital information that the data center creates, stores, and accesses on a daily basis, petajoules byte level (petabytes).
The reliability of the data and the uptime of the system have been a major concern for data center managers, but the accelerated influx of data and huge demand peaks require different, more responsive systems to cope with this new strain. Micron P400m was born. It provides the high reliability and durability that is critical to high-performance storage tiers, accelerates throughput, and responds to peak demand from applications.

All manufacturing, testing and identification of Micron p400m are performed by Micron. Micron NAND and solid-state HDD engineers work closely together to maximize the integration of Flash media and its management, and to make sure that the entire development, testing, manufacturing, and transportation of the hard drive is fully quality controlled. This quality control system is the world famous for ensuring the reliability of micron solid-state drives.
Micron p400m uses Xpert as its core technology, and its key features include:

Designed to reach 10 times a day for 5 consecutive years hard disk fill. For 400GB-capacity hard drives, a total of 311 days of images (totaling about 7.8 billion photos, 1) can be stored in a single unit for all photos posted to Facebook every day.

-Low power consumption-the power consumption of micron p400m is significantly reduced compared to HDD hard drives (significantly reduced when Watts is used as a unit to measure energy consumption for each completed task) and requires little cooling time.
Low latency-p400m provides reliable low latency, which is critical to building a storage system that can consistently respond to unpredictable spikes in demand.
This solid-state drive (SSD) also expands the micron enterprise-class storage portfolio, provides targeted caching and mass storage solutions for critical applications such as active real-time databases, virtual machine image file storage, virtual memory, high speed write cache arrays, low maintenance cost storage devices, and video on demand. p400m solid-state drives enrich Micron's powerful enterprise-class solid-state hard drive portfolio, including start-up and logon hard drives for cloud applications and Web 2.0 applications, as well as high-performance p320h PCIe io accelerators.
The p400m is 2.5 inches wide, 7 mm (mm) thick standard size, the capacity is 100, 200 and 400GB, its application market scope is broad. The hard drive has now been put into production and sold directly to OEM manufacturers through Micron's extensive distribution network.
