Local network (compiled/eskimo) Microsoft's motion-sensing gaming system, the Kinect, announced its sale at $150 earlier this month. Microsoft said earlier that Kinect sales would be a big benefit, but in fact, the Kinect's profits were huge. Based on the eetimes of the Kinect after the demolition of the various parts of the valuation, this body sense operating system production costs only 56 U.S. dollars. Among those 56 dollars, microphones, processors and cameras were priced at just 17 dollars, according to PrimeSense's "reference system" quotes from the Israeli semiconductor company. The Kinect is a motion-sensing game system that Microsoft has developed to counter the Nintendo Wii. The New York Times had previously reported that the Kinect prototype cost as much as $30,000, 200 times times the current price, while Microsoft offered the market at $150 and the Xbox 360 bundled with $299. Microsoft is confident that the system will reach 5 million sales during the Christmas holiday. (Edit/Ming)
