June 20 News, according to foreign media reports, we live in a data age, this is beyond doubt. Many people "hang online" all day, the amount of data collected by internet companies is astonishing. However, collecting data is only the first and simple step. The hardest thing is how to handle the data and communicate better with the customer with the data that has been processed.

How can companies successfully use the information they receive? The answer from IBM is to deploy cloud computing solutions that include Watson. In order not to be marginalized, Microsoft is about to launch its own computing model of supercomputing products.

For many years, Microsoft has had more in common with IBM than just the same software and service vendors. Two of companies are moving towards advanced technologies such as mobile, cloud computing and big data. But the situation has changed, Satya Nadella, Microsoft's new chief executive, and IBM's Satia Nadra Rometty (Ginni Rometty) have made clear that the transition is the top priority for their companies.

"Cloud computing has boosted performance in the third quarter," Microsoft said in its last-quarter earnings report. "Barnard and the management team want Microsoft shareholders to focus on the cloud computing business. IBM also does, although most of the indicators in the first quarter have varying degrees of decline, but rometty points out that cloud business revenue growth 50%, the annual revenue reached 2.3 billion U.S. dollars.

When the announcement was made earlier this year that it would invest 1 billion of dollars in a new business unit to commercialize Watson, IBM sent an unmistakable signal that it was serious about the fast-growing big data business. IBM's latest gain in the big data business is a contract with call center giant Genesys.

The Azure cloud computing platform is not a new product, it has been the core of Microsoft's variety of cloud computing services. But according to a recent blog post, Microsoft is about to launch a powerful large data solution called Microsoft Azure Machine Learning. Like Watson, Azure, a new cloud-based technology, can analyze a large amount of data in seconds and perform predictive analysis

One advantage of Microsoft Azure is the ability to deploy large data solutions in "hours" rather than weeks or months. Like IBM, Microsoft has the advantage of integrating large data solutions with other tools and services, such as Office 365, Bing, and even the Xbox.

Microsoft's focus on fast-growing big data markets will continue. Microsoft is about to launch an advanced Big data solution like IBM, once again competing against its old rivals. The good news for two companies is that this is not a life-and-death war, they are early entrants into the big data market and have ample market space for them to exploit.
