Microsoft officially sends invitations to media

In the past two years, there have been rumors that Microsoft will launch a smaller size of the surface equipment, now rumors may be coming true, Microsoft officially invited the media, will host a surface event on May 20, and in the invitation letter with a slogan: To participate in a small party.

This may mean that the number of participants is not large, but in the context of Microsoft's constant updating of the surface full-size product line, it looks more like a hint of what Microsoft is about to launch. It was reported last September that Microsoft would release the 7.5-inch surface Mini earlier this year.

It is said that the new small size surface is a 7.5-inch screen, 1440 x 1080 resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio, which is more like the ipad than Microsoft's existing Surface tablet, which is more suitable for the movie. It is rumored that the Surface Mini will be equipped with a Qualcomm processor running the Windows RT system, rather than Windows 8. This means that it will not be able to use desktop-side software just like surface RT and Surface 2.

Although Microsoft officials have not confirmed the existence of the surface Mini, according to several U.S. media reports, Microsoft's development tools have recently added a special model for small screen design. The 7-inch tablet was previously considered a gaming device, but it was the idea of Microsoft two years ago.
