Open source software Labs (online programming learning platform) Preview version

The project, after three months of preparation, was finally able to build and operate on the Azure platform using open source technology, according to Liu Tiandong, chief technology promotion expert at Microsoft Open Technology.

During the preview, the open source Software lab will provide developers with eight learning content in three categories covering scripting languages, databases, and Microsoft open technologies. Open source software Labs provide learners with a pre-configured lab environment and provide official learning materials and technical manuals in real-time with Bing search.

At present, open source software labs can be run on all Java Script-enabled browsers, supporting not only mainstream PC browsers but also tablets and mobile browsers.

The lab itself uses a number of open source technologies. Set up on the Azure platform, using VM Depot mirroring Station, Docker as a lab environment management, Guancamole server-side container.
