Microsoft says 90% research and development budget for cloud computing this year

Philippe Catois, Jean-philippe Courtois, president of Microsoft International Business, said in Wednesday that Microsoft plans to spend 90% of its research and development budget on cloud computing this year. Courtois said in an interview that Microsoft's research and development budget this year is 9.6 billion dollars, of which 90% will be used for cloud computing strategy. Courtois also said Microsoft will easily achieve its expected target this year, driven by emerging markets and European business. (Li Ming)
