Microsoft to update Azure cloud computing platform involves many improvements

According to foreign media reports, a few days ago, Microsoft has updated its Azure cloud computing platform, updates include SQL Azure database service upgrades, simplified payment and management processes, increased additional support for the Node.js server-side JavaScript environment. The update could make azure simpler, more affordable and more open, according to Microsoft. In particular, the new Windows Azure SDK for Node.js design provides a better environment for developers to build and deploy high-end node applications, including service bus support for host, storage, and open source platforms.

Microsoft also said the update provides a limited preview of the Hadoop-based Apache service for Windows systems, based on promises made at the pass summit this October. This allows consumers to perform advanced analysis of massive amounts of data.

At the same time, the maximum capacity of SQL Azure database is increased by three times times, reaching 150GB. The new pricing system allows consumers to buy 50GB or more of a database for free expansion.

On the management side, Microsoft has updated its SQL Azure Management homepage with a new user interface for easier monitoring. Consumers can see real-time usage and billing information directly from the Admin home page.
