Microsoft to make major updates to enterprise-class cloud products this fall

This afternoon, Satya Nadella, executive vice president of Microsoft ' Cloud and Enterprise ', gave a speech on enterprise-class cloud and our enterprise-class cloud products and services in the fall phase. Regardless of public cloud, private cloud or hybrid cloud, Microsoft has the most complete supply of cloud products in the industry. With the release of Windows Server, System Center, Microsoft Dynamics, Windows Azure and Visual Studio, a major update to Microsoft's enterprise-class cloud products will be made this fall.

Last week, I was on a business trip to a meeting of clients and partners, and was amazed at the impact of the cloud's ability to reform across the industry. From start-ups, cloud technology has had a profound impact on the way software artifacts, deployments, and consumption have been made.

At the same time, we expect Visual Studio 2013 to release and publish downloads on October 18, and as developers embrace cloud technology, it will be a good reflection of the improvements we have made on Visual Studio 2012,team Foundation Services and MSDN.

Visual Studio

Visual Studio 20,121 is the most downloaded release and has more than 5.5 million downloads. Over the past 12 months, we have already handed over 3 major visual Studio 2012 updates that include major collections of features, including Windows desktop development, Windows Store development, line-of-business program development, SharePoint development, Agile Planning and organization, quality implementation, etc. The fourth update will come soon, along with the release of the fourth candidate version of VS2012 earlier today.

Team Foundation Service

We have seen a twice-fold increase in the usage of Team Foundation service in 2013. The Team Foundation Service provides a version of the team Foundation service that is hosted on Windows Azure and can be accessed from anywhere using a familiar tool that already exists, and that supports all languages and platforms. This service includes a free use plan that makes it easy for both lean teams or individuals to start using including source control, tracking work items, and more. The team Foundation service represents a key component of a cloud operating system developer service.

MSDN

The number of MSDN Subscribers leveraging development and testing on Windows Azure has doubled in the past 4 months. Subscribers can use Windows Azure MSDN benefit to get any of the development and testing Azure services they need, including virtual machines, Web sites, cloud services, mobile services, storage, SQL databases, content distribution networks, high-definition Media Services, and more.
