This afternoon, Tom posted online announcement, Microsoft will officially take over Skype China business on November 24, 2013. At the same time, Tom Online in the announcement that the current Tom users in China has exceeded the 100 million mark.

Skype operated in China in 2004 in the form of a joint venture with Tom Online. Among them, Tom's online shareholding 51%,skype 49%. In May 2011, Microsoft bought Skype for 8.5 billion dollars, but it was still run by Tom Online at home in China. This March, Microsoft replaced MSN on a global scale other than mainland China. Some analysts believe that through this takeover, Microsoft's only remaining MSN business in mainland China will also be integrated.
