Microsoft has again announced the SkyDrive Smart file mechanism in Windows 8.1 – By default download only basic information and thumbnails of SkyDrive files, rather than actual files. For Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone users, if you upload a photo to the SkyDrive native photo album, SkyDrive automatically extracts the text in the photo, OCR (optical character recognition) feature.
