Migration from WebSphere Lombardi Edition to IBM Business Process Manager V8.0 Single cluster environment

At the beginning of 2010, Lombardi was acquired by IBM and merged with its own WPS (WebSphere process Server) to launch a new generation of business process products BPM7.5, followed by the launch of IBM IBM Business process Manager V7.5.1 (BPM V7.5.1) and IBM Business Process Manager V8.0 (for short, BPM V8.0). This article will take the latest product BPM V8.0 as an example to illustrate how to migrate business processes from Lombardi to BPM V8.0 single cluster environments and ensure the availability of processes and the integrity of business data.

Lombardi Business process and data overview

Lombardi KPI (key configured indicator) main user performance monitoring and simulation optimization, through KPI performance monitoring and simulation optimization, can carry out the task node execution cost, execution time, wait time, cost and so on monitoring.

BPM8.0 Installation and Creation profile

We introduced the migration process with Lombardi business migration to the BPM Advanced V8.0 PS Server, first installing the most recently released BPM Advanced V8.0 PS Server, and then creating a profile.

Install BPM8.0

Go to the installation directory of the BPM V8.0, run the LaunchPad.exe file, see the Setup Wizard shown in Figure 1, click on "Use Custom Install", and follow the prompts to continue to the next step.

Figure 4 lists all the components available for installation, and you can choose not to install IBM DB2 Express to continue to the next step.

After you select the product you want to install, specify the disk installation path, and follow the installation prompts to continue to the next step until the installation is complete.
