Minitab cloud through Windows Azure Qeystone

Overview

Our Qeystone product package is a project portfolio management system based on the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) market on Windows Azure. Composed of several discrete applications, Qeystone leverages Windows Azure's available functionality to provide a powerful, unified analysis platform for LSS practitioners. Project data is collected by LSS project team members through a number of desktop interfaces that can send their data to the Qeystone cloud Services data repository. Once submitted, this data can be used across multidimensional indexes to provide analysis and aggregation in a near real-time manner. This information provides the latest visibility for all process improvement projects in the customer's enterprise.

The core components of the Qeystone product kit are:

L Cloud Services: web-based html/javascript dashboards are used to manage data repositories and Rollup/report information. It also provides core rest management services for all dependent qeystone products.

• Desktop Tools: Fully customizable information collection and data visualization tools specific to the LSS market (value stream map, flowchart, etc.). Connect to the cloud service and deploy (see above) for all data requirements.

L WEB/Mobile: A task-focused interface for fast messaging.

• Deployment Management tools: Tools dedicated to quickly customizing, deploying, and managing customer sites. The Qeystone REST management API is used.

L Licensed Portals: All company security Token Service (STS) is included in licensing control, subscription management, quotas, etc. It also provides web directory functionality for connecting applications. Built on Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) and ws-federation standards.

Using traditional methods to develop such a product with extensibility usually takes several months and consumes a lot of human resources. However, with a flexible qeystone that serves Windows Azure, we can make the application available and extremely fast (the program can preview the test in 8-12 months).
