From the domestic three operators and the Ministry of Telecommunications Research Institute of related data shows that from the end of 2009 to the first half of 2012, the number of domestic 3G users, wireless internet traffic, intelligent terminal shipments accounted for the key indicators are continuing rapid growth, mobile Internet is becoming a new growth engine for domestic operators.
For China Mobile, for example, the revenue from SMS and voice-value-added services accounted for more than 50% of the company's 2009 data business. In the first half of 2012, wireless internet business revenue accounted for 38% of the revenue in its data business, ranked first, followed by applications and information services revenue, before the income accounted for the first short MMS business was reduced to third place.

How operators respond

Shenhong revealed that China Mobile has launched a "cloud" business for users in early August this year, and plans to fully commercial before the end of this year.
