International online News: China's Ministry of Commerce spokesman Yao Jian reiterated in Beijing 15th that China is firmly opposed to the imposition of "carbon tariffs" on imported products by some developed countries. This practice violates the basic rules of the WTO. "This policy is not consistent with the policies of the WTO or the common but differentiated responsibility of developed and developing countries as proposed by the UN Climate Change convention." At the same time, we also see that these policies have hidden the trend of using environmental resources to carry out trade protectionism. Yao also said that developing countries have made great efforts to undertake environmental protection and utilization of resources, and the introduction of "carbon tariffs" will likely lead to a chain of trade retaliation, which is not conducive to overcoming the impact of the current financial crisis.
