Monday European stock market closed to flat plate

Beijing time May 26 Morning News, Monday European stock market turmoil, almost closed to flat, the market for the recent increase in the sustainability of the stock market is still suspicious of the German DAX index closed down 0.3% to close at 4918.45; the French CAC-40 index rose 0.2% to close at 3236.16.　　The UK stock market was closed for a bank holiday, while the United States was closed for Memorial Day. European stocks fell after opening in the afternoon, but were able to regain ground after a market-focused German business confidence index rose less than expected in May. The German business confidence index rose to 84.2 in May from 83.7 last month, but weak demand for construction and manufacturing has brought some pressure.　　The index has rebounded for two consecutive months since March and fell to 26-year lows of 82.2 in March, although the May readings were still below the 85 point expected by the German Institute for Economic Research (IFO), 85.9 and UniCredit.　　In France, Sanofi-Aventis (Sanofi-aventis), the drug maker, rose 1.6% per cent after news that the company had received a 190 million-dollar swine flu vaccine order from the US government. After a strong rally in recent weeks, global equities have been looking for the next direction. Retrospective data, such as economic growth and manufacturing output, have been bad, but some indicators of future economic activity are more favourable. Investors are looking forward to some important U.S. economic data this week, including home sales, high-priced products and consumer confidence.
