Beijing time October 28 Evening News, according to foreign media reports, Motorola released in Thursday the third quarter of 2010 earnings, net profit of 109 million U.S. dollars, higher than the same period last year, 12 million U.S. dollars. Based on U.S. General Accounting Standards (GAAP), Motorola's third-quarter net profit was $109 million trillion, with a diluted earnings of $0.05 per share.  The net profit for the same period last year was $12 million trillion, with a diluted earnings of 0.01 dollars per share. Based on non-US General Accounting Standards (NON-GAAP), including discontinuous operations, the net profit is USD 380 million, with a diluted earnings of $0.16 per share, exceeding the company's expected $0.1 to $0.12.  Based on non-US GAAP, including discontinuous operations, the net profit for the same period last year was USD 131 million, with a diluted earnings of $0.06 per share. The third quarter, Motorola revenue of 4.9 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 13%.  Combined with 871 million of dollars of discontinuous business activities, Motorola's third-quarter revenue was 5.8 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 6% per cent year-on-year. Among them, Motorola Mobile Equipment department revenue 2 billion U.S. dollars, mobile phone shipments of 9.1 million, of which the smartphone for 3.8 million.  Based on non-US general accounting standards, operating profit of 3 million U.S. dollars, based on U.S. general accounting standards, operating loss of 43 million U.S. dollars.  Corporate Mobility Solutions division revenue of 1.9 billion U.S. dollars, based on non-US general accounting standards, operating profit of 321 million U.S. dollars, based on U.S. general accounting standards, operating profit of 253 million U.S. dollars. Home Solutions Division revenue of 912 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 5%. Operating profits, based on non-US general accounting standards, are $77 million trillion, compared with $43 million a year earlier.  Based on US GAAP, operating profit was $49 million trillion, compared with $20 million a year earlier. At the end of the third quarter, Motorola's cash volume was $9 billion trillion, and net cash rose to $5.6 billion from $4.9 billion trillion in the second quarter of this year. For the fourth quarter, Motorola expects net profit to reach $0.14 per share to $0.16. (Li Ming)
