Beijing time December 22 Morning news, according to sources, Motorola is about to acquire cloud storage software manufacturer Zecter, which is likely to be the company's last acquisition before the January split. Next January, Motorola will be split into two separate listed companies for Motorola Mobility and Motorola FX, and Zecter is likely to be part of Motorola Mobility's adroit. Zector is a pioneering company invested by the renowned venture capital company Y Combinator, which owns the zumodrive and zumocast two cloud storage applications. Motorola acquired Zector because Zector has a series of outstanding cloud storage products and has gradually gained the trust of users. For example, ZumoDrive provides a simple cloud storage and synchronization service, and builds on this innovation. ZumoDrive allows users to think that the files stored in the cloud are local files, making it easier for users to operate. The zumodrive can synchronize and automatically detect the contents of the files by wireless. It can also automatically detect changes on the user's computer and update to the cloud server. ZumoDrive is compatible with media applications such as itunes, as well as mobile apps for smartphones such as iphones, Android, and Palm. Motorola intends to transplant zector storage technology into its own production of mobile phone products. Zector's other cloud storage application Zumocast, the main function is to convert the user's personal computer into a cloud storage server, so that users can use the mobile phone and other Internet devices on their own computer files. With a growing number of users using the cloud service, Zecter's zumodrive has achieved impressive results: successfully financed 15 million and reached an agreement with HP to provide cloud storage applications for its netbooks. In addition to Zecter, Motorola has acquired a home software developer 4Home, geo-positioning mobile software start-up company Aloqa in the past few months. According to science and technology, Motorola has acquired the Web application development company 280 North in August this year. (Chin Liang)
