On the morning of October 28, Intel Corporation today announced its "2015 Cloud vision" in cloud computing and a series of new initiatives, and has helped to set up an Open Data center alliance of more than 70 top companies. Cloud Vision Intel's 2015 cloud Vision includes three key elements: an "interoperability" cloud that allows businesses to share data between private and public clouds, and an "automated" cloud computing network that automatically helps different applications and resources run safely, dramatically improving energy performance in data centers A PC and device-aware "client-adaptive" cloud, automatically determines which applications, commands, and processes should be on the cloud, or on a terminal notebook, smartphone, and other devices to fully leverage the unique performance of a user and device to fully optimize the online experience. Intel will fully support these goals by creating software and building new features within its Xeon processor, including the building of Intel virtualization technologies for the existing cloud computing base. Open Data Center Alliance as an important step towards the "2015 Cloud Vision" Intel has helped create an Open Data center consortium of more than 70 leading global companies that invest more than 50 billion dollars a year in it, and are already carrying out cloud computing research or projects. Members of the Steering Committee of the Alliance include BMW, China Life, Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase, and Lockheed. Martin Corporation, Marriott, Australia National Bank, Shell, Terremark and UBS Group. The alliance will identify future hardware and software requirements to develop more open, interoperable cloud computing and data center solutions. Intel plays a unique advisory role in the Alliance, with its initial membership being the ultimate enterprise user, not the technology provider. Cloud Builder Plans Intel also launches the Cloud Builder program, which aims to provide a technology implementation path for the 2015 cloud Computing vision. There are 20 leading hardware and software vendors worldwide involved in the program. They will promise to invest a lot of resources to support innovation, making it easier to deploy, use, and share cloud computing. The program's members are the most critical technology providers in the cloud computing field, including canonical, Cisco, Jie, Dell, EMC, Enomaly, Eucalyptus Bae, Gproxy, HP, IBM, Intel, Joyent, Microsoft, Netapp , NetSuite, Novell, Parallels, Red Hat, Univa, and VMware. It is reported that the plan now has 20 reference structure, and there will be more in the future. (Zhang Wei)
