Syntax: int mysql_insert_id ([int link_identifier])

Description:

MYSQL_INSERT_ID () returns the ID generated by the auto_incremented field, which passes the given link_identifier back to the ID of the last execution insert query, if no LINK_ is specified Identifier is assumed to be the last open link.
