The communiqué showed that 2008 national GDP energy consumption of 1.102 tons of TCE/million, compared to 2007 1.160 tons of TCE/million lower 4.59%; 2008 unit GDP consumption of 1375.29 kwh/million, 3.3% lower than 2007, unit industry value added energy consumption of 2.189 tons TCE/million, lower than 2007 8.43%. The announcement data also shows that, in addition to the Tibet Autonomous Region data vacant, all other provinces and autonomous regions in 2008, the unit GDP energy consumption, as well as the unit industry added value energy consumption is lower than the previous year. The area with the largest energy consumption per unit of GDP is Shanxi province, with a decrease of 7.39%; The administrative region with the largest decrease in energy consumption per unit of industry is Hebei province, which is 14.33% lower than the previous year. In addition, the consumption of electricity per unit of GDP increased by 0.09% in Gansu Province and 4.49% in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, other provinces and autonomous regions declined in varying degrees. The biggest drop was in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, down 10.91%. The statistical range of energy consumption per unit industry is 5 million yuan and above the annual main business income. In addition to the Tibet Autonomous Region data vacant, the communiqué does not include the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan.
