Netprospex's latest report shows that Google and Microsoft are the most socially-socialized companies. Technology companies dominate the list, but not fully occupied, with the top 25 companies including Amazon, Best Buy, Apple, and EA. Watt Disney (Walt Disney) slipped from fifth place in May to 23rd place, and Goldman Sachs ranked 50th.
Most of the listed companies are consumer brands of large companies, or with High-tech companies.
Netprospex measures the activity of social media in industries, jobs, geographies, and specific business applications. Research has found that the search engine-portals, media, banking and marketing employees are most active in the application of social media. Other companies listed include clean products and household appliances.
Staff in transport, storage, laundry and dry cleaning services, funeral parlours and undertaker-related services employ minimum social media. The report also notes that funeral parlours and tobacco industry employees do not send Twitter messages.
