New mobile ads to help micro-blogging companies to attract electric and gaming marketers

Silicon Valley News sources said Twitter plans to release a mobile advertising product in a matter of weeks to allow app developers to encourage users to download their software, according to a Bloomberg report. This format, known as application-mounted advertising, will help the microblogging service company to attract marketers in the E-commerce and gaming industries.

They said that if users clicked on Twitter's ads pushed by mobile devices, they would be transferred to The Advertiser's mobile app Store, where they could download the software. Twitter is expanding its mobile advertising offerings to fulfill the promise of last November's IPO.

Analysts expect revenue to grow 1 time to 1.2 billion dollars this year, although Twitter users are on the decline. The company's shares have risen 78% since the IPO, closing at 46.32 dollars/shares yesterday. Mobile is one of Twitter's key businesses, with the user base growing faster and advertising revenue accounting for 75%. In this respect, the company spokesman Will Sdickney (would Stickney) declined to comment.

Application installation ads have boosted revenue growth for other social networking companies. Facebook launched the ad in October 2012, bringing 245 million apps to the download last year. King Digital Entertainment uses Facebook's ads to promote the "Candy Smash saga" of mobile gaming, making it one of the most popular games in Apple's App store. King was listed earlier this week.

Test ads

The Twitter test app installs ads for at least a few weeks, sources said. Missouri State Kansas City's target advertising agency, Adknowledge, said they were involved in the test, and the product was improved. Ben Legg, chief executive of Adknowledge, said in an interview that mobile app developers were 4/5 less expensive to get a new user, and the same efficiency as Facebook's ads.
