New Oriental and ATA reached a test online vocational education test water

Recently, New Oriental announced an agreement with educational testing service provider ATA to set up a joint venture to test online vocational education.

Under the agreement, ATA will invest 13.5 million, holding 45%, New Oriental will invest 16.5 million, holding 55%. Joint ventures have unimpeded access to the New Oriental Learning Management System, courseware production system, online platform and technical resources broadcast, and ATA also for the joint venture company opened its own all-round test evaluation techniques, learning tools, software and other technical resources. According to reports, by the end of this year, the joint venture will officially launch its online education and training website. Its business will mainly focus on adult education. The preliminary plans cover areas such as medical, legal, accounting and financial industries.

It is worth noting that investing in other complementary online education products is an important part of New Oriental's efforts to create an O2O education ecosystem. New Oriental said it is out of long-term strategy to reach a deal with ATA, and in addition, it will integrate O2O on all business lines based on an internet-based learning system.
