At the conference, G.fast technology demonstrated its own chip, plans to ship in the first quarter of next year. Sckipio also plans to showcase its DP3000 network device chip and CP1000 Home networking device chip. Bo Tong also developed the home equipment and network equipment G.fast chip, showing the prototype products. The company did not say the price, but the sales promotion notes: This is a cheaper way to upgrade broadband.

"We think the relative deployment of optical fiber is very competitive and we will be the first company to market this technology," said Jim McKeon, senior director of Jim Mckion product marketing. G.fast has great potential to unlock the hidden value of existing DSL. "But as a technical standard, G.fast has not yet completed. McGee is expected to approve the standard by the end or next year, but Bo-tangled needs to upgrade the firmware to conform to the final revised standards.

In order to achieve a complete 1Gbps speed, the G.fast connection requires a broadband provider to use a network device close to the customer's building, which may be 50 meters or more near. Austrian telecoms, one of G.fast's early backers, announced last week that it had tested the technology in the real world and planned to install it on a large scale in 2016.
