New virus ransom for users downloading obscene games

A new virus is using a startling new strategy to keep people who are unfortunately infected from getting into trouble, April 17 news. The virus, known as Kenzero, is spread from Japan and is still in its early stages of transmission.　　This virus is infected with users of Winni file sharing services with approximately 200 million users. When Winni users use the site to download pirated adult games, their PCs are infected with Kenzero viruses. The virus will replicate the user's web browsing history and be published on the web for public viewing.　　Kenzero virus on the Winni Web site fake standard game setup programs that deceive victims.　　To be sure, anyone who downloads illegal "pervert" games does not want to make their web browsing history public, as the extreme images of sexual activity in the game are illegal in the United States. The victim will be asked for a ransom after being infected with the virus and the Internet browsing history. Users infected with the virus will see a pop-up window notification or email asking the user to pay a small fee (about 16 dollars) to "reconcile your copyright infringement".　　According to the BBC, there are similar extortion attacks against European users, requiring users to pay as much as $400 for trial reconciliation. This is a new way of attacking users by impersonating law enforcement agencies for illegal extortion activities.　　As Internet users become more sophisticated and know common malware attacks, fraudsters have to take extreme measures to get money from their victims. However, this attack is essentially indistinguishable from other attacks. Antivirus software should be able to clean up the virus because it is not designed to be more advanced than other attacks.
