The New York market's latest crude oil contract fell nearly 4%, closing below $67/barrel, its lowest in nearly three weeks. The World Bank this morning predicted that the global economy would fall more than expected, and investors ' strong fears of oil demand were rising again.  The World Bank expects the global economy to shrink 2.9% per cent this year, more than the estimated 1.7% in March this year. As of Monday 2:30 (Beijing time Tuesday 2:30 A.M.), the New York Mercantile Exchange July crude oil contract fell 2.62 U.S. dollars, closed at 66.93 U.S. dollars/barrel, a decrease of 3.8%. 66.93 of dollars hit a new low in the closing price since June 3. In addition, the July contract fell to 66.25 U.S. dollars, a record price since June 3, the new low.
