Newsletter: Ctrip Third-quarter results exceeded expectations

Beijing time November 26 Morning News, Ctrip (NASDAQ:CTRP) today released the third quarter of the fiscal year 2014 ended September 30 without the audit earnings. The report showed that Ctrip's net revenue for the third quarter was 2.1 billion yuan (about 347 million U.S. dollars), an increase of 38% per cent, up from analysts ' earlier forecasts, and a net profit of 217 million yuan (about 35 million US dollars) for the company's shareholders, which fell 42% per cent year-on-year.

Data from Yahoo's financial summary show that 14 analysts average estimates, according to the U.S. General Accounting Standards (GAAP), Ctrip in the third quarter of each share of U.S. depository Receipts (ADS) diluted earnings of 0.20 U.S. dollars, the company's third-quarter ads revenue of 0.22 U.S. dollars, more than analysts expected.
