Nextcomputing new GPU Blade server

Beijing time October 20 Evening news, focusing on small high-density computing servers and workstation production research and development manufacturer Nextcomputing, announced its nextstream high-density blade server will be added to the NVIDIA Tesla C-series GPU support, including the latest Tesla C2075 support.

Within 2U of space, Nextstream is designed to optimize for high-performance computing tasks, while high-performance computing typically requires a hybrid deployment of traditional multi core CPUs and GPU.

Internal structure

According to the introduction, supporting the GPU of this nextstream blade server, using the Nextcomputing Company's unique innovative flextreme architecture design. It offers 3 separate dual-processor blades, each with an Intel Xeon 5500 series processor (up to six cores per CPU) and 96GB of RAM. In other words, this blade has a total of 36 CPU cores and 288GB of RAM. Each blade has a separate PCIe 2.0x8 expansion slot and a built-in gigabit network interface.

With the GPU optimized, Nextstream can be deployed as two blades, each with 2 six-core Xeon processors and 96GB of RAM, with Tesla GPU processors on PCIe 2.0x16 slots.

In addition, the Nextstrea Blade server has enough space to hold the third Tesla processor, which can be installed on any of the other two blades. Of course, the blade server also provides extended space for expansion cards and storage units.
