What should be the next step in the development of the technology industry? It is clear that venture capital firms are also very much interested in this issue, but the difference is that for them, the right and wrong manifestations are reflected in the large sum of money lost and gone.
Some time ago, Northbridge venture capital firm announced a survey on the development of cloud computing. A total of 785 of 39 well-known technology companies participated in the polls and discussions so people understand how they view cloud computing: AKamai, AWS, Citrix, Microsoft, Red Hat, SAP, and VMware and others.
As North Bridge's business simply put money into what he promised, so the details of the issue will become crucial.
Here's what North Bridge has to say:
Relatively speaking, cloud computing is mature
Fifty percent of respondents said cloud computing solutions are viable for mission-critical business applications.
2. Scalability is the main driving force
57% of respondents think scalability is their primary reason for turning to cloud computing, followed by business agility.
3. Security remains a major obstacle
Cloud computing may have matured, but its security risks are still the most important reason that hinders the development of enterprises. Followed by the implementation of information technology, 55% of respondents expressed concern about cloud computing security issues.
4. Enterprises in the SaaS applications the highest investment
As many as 82% of respondents said they are using SaaS applications. In addition, 6% of respondents said they will begin deploying SaaS within five years.
5. PaaS and IaaS are also a lot of investment
More and more people are interested in platform as a service and infrastructure and services. PaaS is used by 40%, PaaS by 72% in the next five years, and IaaS users are 51% and 66% respectively
6. Efficiency will be the current theme
The top 5 applications by application rate are backup and archive (43%), business inertia (25%), collaboration tools (22%) and big data processing (19%).
7. The outlook for cost control issues is not clear

8. Deploy both public and private clouds
Forty percent of people are deploying public clouds, 36% have already deployed hybrid clouds, and another 52% say they will develop hybrid clouds within five years.
9. Big data can not be ignored
80% of respondents believe that the development of big data and data analysis is likely to be cloud computing interference.
Michael Skok, North Bridge's partner, says some of the early solvers will emerge as a key enabler of these cloud computing trends as they become depleted with business-driven climate model equivalents.
